UX/UI Design (Student Project)

The brief:

Create an App that solves a problem or inconvenience we face in everyday life.

The solution:

One of the most confusing things about getting a car is how to take care of it. GARA aims to simplify that process by partnering with local mechanics to bring you a streamlined service. The App would work with a VIN database that would allow it to get information about the car model the user has. After this, the user would need to assess their car with a certified mechanic to update the service dates on the App.

GARA is the App that takes care of your car for you. Just enjoy the ride, and we’ll take care of the rest.

We work with certified mechanics to give you the best service possible. Just complete our initial vehicle assessment and let the App do the rest; we monitor the life of all the significant components in your vehicle and tell you when and how much it will cost.

Initially, user testing was done with a rough mockup to understand the most important features the App should have. Later, personas were developed and a flow map was developed to plan the navigation through the App, and lastly, a prototype was developed in Adobe XD.

Process.

The app went through a redesign process after feedback from user testing revealed that the interface was not clear enough.
