The Journey of Zero was my entry to the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) 2020 Student Assessments. The brief called for a design to change the way we think about numbers and fire the audience’s imagination to see the world with fresh eyes.

Following this prompt, I decided to use motion graphics to tell a more visually compelling story that focused mainly on the use of Kinetic typography to create shapes and compliment the narrated script created for the final video. In the process. Conceptually, I Researched the philosophical and factual elements of the number zero, and created a story that told some of the meanings and cultural connotations of the digit.
