The typographic aficionados society is hosting its 10th annual conference in Medellin, Colombia. Typography experts and enthusiasts worldwide participate in workshops and presentations from industry leaders and type foundries.

The brief:

The conference requires a welcome package that contains a program booklet, I.D. tags to attend the workshops, and a map of the venue. This package would be handed over to the participants when initially checking in or mailed over beforehand.

I decided to go with a horizontal layout instead of the more typical vertical or square formats to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event. A special occasion requires a unique form. I then proceeded to test out how the layout would look on the page. Simple shapes and color blocks started to create a layout grid where the content can live without looking too busy. Typography is the main driver for the page.
